Scavenger Hunt Walk
Welcome to Walk Yourself Fit's Annual Scavenger Hunt Walk. This walk has some new clues to solve and locations to find. Teams will be given a list of clues that identify a number of facilities and locations within a 5 to 6 mile walking route of the In Your Best Interest Clinic. Teams must solve the clues to identify the sites, then walk to these sites and photograph the team members there. We will meet at the IYBI office at 7:00 am for announcements and a presentation of the rules and clue sheets. The walk will start promptly at 7:30 am.
NOTE: It will be very helpful to have at least one team member who lives in and/or is familiar with general known facilities and landmarks in the City of Redlands.
Solve all the clues how great you’ll feel,
Finding the sites that are a big deal,
While walking the walk with the greatest of zeal.
This walk for us has many a clue,
Solve them all or even a few,
Off on your journey with feet numbering two.
So set your teams of two or more,
A morning of fun is just in store,
The answers soon you will correctly score.

We walk on out at 30 minutes to eight,
Time is of essence so don’t be late,
For this little adventure that will be great.

The sites in Redlands now start thinking of.
The route has twelve clues and should be completed with 5 to 6 miles if you plan the route appropriately.
The general rules for the Scavenger Hunt Walk are as follows:
Establish a group of at least four and no more than six walkers for each team. If you don't have a team, we'll help match you up with other WYF members or help you join a team if possible.
The team must bring a digital camera or Iphone, and a pen or a pencil on the walk.
Just prior to the start of the walk, teams will be given a list of clues that describe a facility or landmark. All locations will be in the general downtown Redlands area.
Teams will be given three hours to complete the scavenger hunt ride.
Teams must write the name of the landmark or facility on the clue sheet provided.
Each team must find the proper location and take a photo of the team members with the landmark or facility visible and identifiable in the background. Signs showing the name of the landmark or facility are acceptable.
Teams shall return to the identified finish location (IYBI) within the prescribed time.
The team with the greatest number of correct locations with photos of the team will be the winner.
Teams must estimate the total time that they will require and walk in search of the clues and write this mileage on their clue sheet before leaving the start. If two or more teams tie with the most correct number of locations, the team with the closest guess to the total time that they actually walked to complete the hunt will be the winner.
